The Nature ATV Quad Safari Tour in Crete

Embark on a 5-hour quad safari tour through the stunning landscapes of Crete, where adventure meets culture. Navigate both off-road and on-road trails as you explore the rugged mountains and scenic routes of our beautiful island.

Tour Description:

The new Nature Tour (half-day adventure) covers over 65 km and takes more than 5 hours, featuring a total altitude change of 1700 meters. Following instructions from our professional guide, Andreas, on how to operate the quads, we’ll begin our journey straight into the mountains, heading towards the beautiful traditional villages of Koutouloufari, Piskopiano, and Hersonissos.

In Potamies village, we’ll take a short break to admire the centuries-old olive tree at the historic Panagias monastery before starting our off-road adventure. Our next brief stop for photos will be at a panoramic viewpoint to see the submerged village of Sfentili, the Aposelemis dam, and the Lagada area, which is full of olive trees. Here, we’ll also learn about and observe the production of unique Cretan olive oil at a local factory.

We’ll then have the opportunity to drive to and visit Fotinis cave (for an extra charge) at a breathtaking viewpoint, or we can continue mixed driving on and off-road to the entrance of Rozas Gorge, with its vulture sightings. We’ll pass through the small traditional villages of Avdou and Gonies on our way to Askous village, where we’ll enjoy delicious food and drink at a tavern balcony with an amazing view.

Our entertaining off-road drive will continue through Ano Karouzanos and Kato Karouzanos villages, home to 11 and 9 inhabitants, respectively. Along these roads, we’ll pass through hunting areas and have the chance to see small stables of goats, sheep, or horses, while enjoying the aromatic scents of various Cretan mountain herbs.

On our way back to the starting point, we can stop in Drapanos for a swim in crystal-clear waters or visit the Cretan open-air Museum Lychnostatis with a group discount (please let us know your preference at the beginning of the tour).
